The Illinois marathon was today. The runners started at 7 am, so when I went with Don and Nancy to hand out water to the runners at their friends house at around 8 am, a lot of the people had already passed. The route whent almost right past our house. When almost all the runners had passed, I took my bike into the finish line which was at the football stadium. The security was extra strict due to the Boston bombings. Many people also wore a sticker to remember the victims.
Illinois maraton fandt sted i dag. Løberne startede allerede kl. 7 om morgenen, så da jeg tog med Don og Nancy hen for at dele vand ud ved deres vens hus omkring kl. 8, var der allerede mange mennesker der var løbet forbi. Ruten løb næsten lige forbi vores hus. Da næsten alle løberne var forbi kørte jeg hen til mållinjen som var midt i football stadionet. Sikkerheden var sat ekstra op pga. Boston bomberne. Mange mennesker bar også et klistermærke for at mindes ofrene.
